Scientific Programmes

CAIZEM carries out its research in collaboration with centres and researchers across Andalusia, as well as nationally and internationally, through its participation in thematic networks and other cooperative research arrangements typical of its field. This activity takes the form of projects focused on the surveillance and control of zoonotic and emerging diseases, and on developing early-warning tools to predict potential outbreaks in order to improve surveillance and prevention strategies.

This enables it to produce scientific-technical and risk assessment reports in emergency situations that support the various authorities in their decision-making to protect public health, animal health and environmental health.
